Every day we eagerly awaited driving out of the campground to see Pikes Peak... or to be more specific, to see if we could see Pikes Peak or only see clouds.
One morning after an extremely cool night, we discovered a gorgeous snowfall covering the area above the tree line.
We noticed later in the day that we could see the road up Pikes Peak!!!
Twenty four hours later, the snow was all gone. We heard on TV that a snow storm on the Peak this late in the season is very rare. So glad we were here to see it!
